Egg donors and recipients
Hi there. I noticed it's been a long time since anyone posted in here, but I hope someone is still reading.
I've thought about donating my eggs in the past 5 or so years, and lately I've been giving it more serious consideration. I've read through old posts and comments and I guess I just want to know how painful the procedure is. I mean, I'm not crazy about having to give myself shots, but I can handle that part. For the actual retrieval, though, what's that like? I mean, on a scale of 1-5, how painful/uncomfortable is it?
Thanks in advance.
I realize you've been asked this before...but I'm a journalism student trying to put together an article about egg donors and would love to talk to anyone...preferably someone from the California area, as I'm based in Los Angeles.
Writing this piece has been a quest of sorts for me, as I've been considering becoming a donor for over a year now, and some of the people I've interviewed gave stories that were somewhat scary...I realize the experience is different for each woman, which is why I'd like to talk to as many women as possible.
Thanks for your time,
Hey everyone. Sorry to add another one of these, but I would also like to interview egg donors for an article for my journalism class. I'm particularly interested in college women doing this. Please email me ASAP at email@example.com. I'd love to talk!
Hello all. I am a student at the New School in New York City. I am doing a project about egg donation and I am desperate to talk to former, current, and potential egg donors. If you are in the NY area, an interview in person would be awesome but I will gladly take a phone/email/AIM interview. I promise you complete annonymity.
Thank you for your time.

i joined up because i have always wanted to donate my eggs. i am yet of age (will be in Feb.) but have planned on doanteing my eggs since i was young. i always figured people love red heads and im a red head with green/blue eyes so theres gotta be someone out there that wants some of mine. (i have actualy had people ask me for mine, before i knew everything about it, and it creeped me out at first)
anyways. i have always had so much respect for people who donate and one day i'd like to help someone get something they have always wanted.

This looked interesting, and since I have donated eggs twice in the past, I thought that I would check it out.
My name is Tabby, I am currently preggy as a gestational surrogate using donated, though not by me, eggs.
I am 35 and the mother of two teenagers......
Hmmmm, guess thats it for now.
I've been quite curious about egg donation as of late and I thought I'd join an LJ community dealing with such matters when I discovered that there wasn't one. I figured I should make one in case other people are interested, regardless of which side they are on (the donating or receiving end). This would be a great place to ask questions, discuss the procedures involved, and just discuss over all feelings on the matter. It would be great to get some experienced women into this to help us newbies along the way. Hopefully this community will liven up soon.
